Launch costs were dropping, space technology was becoming more accessible, and NewSpace companies weren’t applying the latest manufacturing developments. Our founders saw an opening for high-performance satellite platforms delivered quickly and decided to take it.

REFLEX IS FOUNDEDReflex Aerospace is founded in Munich Germany
NOVEMBER 2021
MAKING BERLIN HOMEReflex grows large enough to open its first office in the Friedrichshain neighborhood of Berlin - the up and coming center of German NewSpace.
DECEMBER 2021
IRIS² Reflex is selected by the European Commission to lead the foundational study that would become the IRIS² project aiming to provide sovereign and secure satellite communications to Europe.
FEBRUARY 2023
The TEAM GROWSThe 25th employee is hired signaling a commitment to completing its first demo mission
APRIL 2023
SEED ROUND CLOSED The first seed fundraising round is closed bringing its total investment to nearly €9M.
MAY 2023
FIRST Commercial customerReflex signs its first commercial contract (MBS). This transforms its anticipated demo mission into a full-fledged commercial mission
FEBRUARY 2024
MICROFACTORY KICKOFF Construction of Reflex’s first satellite manufacturing MicroFactory in Munich begins.
MARCH 2024
FIRST Commercial customerReflex’s second commercial contract is signed with Marble Imaging for MIRI, the first of a planned 200-satellite constellation for Earth Observation.
JULY 2024
FURTHER COMPANY GROWTHWith now two commercial customers in its pipeline, Reflex expands with the hiring of it’s 50th employee.
NOVEMBER 2024
THIRD Commercial CONTRACTThe company’s 3rd commercial contract is signed for OPTIMAS, a satellite for Navantia and the European Defence Fund for the purposes of laser communications.
DECEMBER 2024
MICROFACTORY COMPLETEReflex’s MicroFactory facility in Munich completes initial construction. This allows Reflex to continue its verticalization efforts and improve in-house MAIT.
JANUARY 2025
FLIGHT HERITAGEReflex successfully launches SIGI, its first custom satellite on SpaceX’s Transporter-12 mission, achieving flight heritage.
What’s Next?
Reflex is continuing to expand production and design facilities. Our MicroFactory concept and in-house satellite design expertise are driving our growth and we anticipate a push into new geographic locations such as North America.
