Reflex Aerospace and Media Broadcast Satellite (MBS) Partner to Accelerate Innovation in Orbit
Reflex Aerospace announces MBS as first commercial customer
Partnership enables rapid manufacture and delivery of cutting-edge space technology
Launch window scheduled for fall 2024 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket
Reflex Aerospace, a NewSpace startup working on revolutionising small satellite manufacture, has announced its first commercial customer, Media Broadcast Satellite (MBS).
Reflex Aerospace and MBS will oversee the rapid deployment of ground-breaking technology via a first-of-its-class satellite, setting new standards for custom-made satellite delivery, with a launch due in fall 2024.
Today’s announcement is validation of “Reflex’s novel approach to satellite design and manufacturing“, says Walter Ballheimer, CEO of Reflex Aerospace.
The strategic partnership will leverage Reflex’s satellite manufacturing expertise to support MBS in delivering cutting-edge space technology for their data and voice communications via satellite and data networks.
“We need New Space pragmatism, an adaptable but at the same time highly available satellite platform — but above all the will to move forward,” adds Sven Sünberg, Managing Director of MBS.
Reflex Aerospace is employing digital engineering and cutting-edge manufacturing and assembly techniques to produce high-performance, versatile and adaptable small satellite platforms faster than anyone else on the market.
